I again had the pleasure of shooting more food for a project at The Dallas Morning News. Specifically, 4 restaurants at a new(ish) mall. Only problem, they needed to be shot quickly, and as timing would have it, some were to be shot during the lunch rush. Typical schedule for a newspaper shoot.
I had about 2 hours to get all the food photographed (normally, I would spend at least that long in each restaurant) while also shooting various product in some of the shops. Below are a few of my favorites.

Friday Night Football
I have not photographed a football game in well over 10 ten years, but this past Friday a client asked me to get a few shots of the Southlake Dragons game against Fossil Ridge. I only had time to shoot part of the first quarter, but was able to walk away with a good mix of photos. Here are a few of my favorites.

Good Enough To Eat
I love to photograph food and restaurants and a recent assignment at The Dallas Morning News had me shooting four restaurants at Lakeside Market in about two hours. Normally I spend at least two hours on one restaurant, but that's the way it goes in the newspaper business sometimes.
Here are some of my favorite shots from the shoot.

One Doc, One Light, Two Looks
I recently had the privilege of photographing Dr. Alan Miller at Baylor Hospital's new Sammons Cancer Center. The plan was to shoot Dr. Miller in his new lab, but with the grand opening about a week away, the lab wasn't photo ready. Plan B - photograph him in one of the spacious infusion rooms.
Not the mostphotogenic, umm, it wasn't photo ready either. Plan C - panic. Looking around, I found a hallway leading off the infusion area that might provide a nice backdrop. I quickly set up one speedlight and a shoot through umbrella to get this shot.
I thought that I could make it a bit more dramatic or at least give it a more scientific/medical feel, so I gelled the flash with a full CTO, switched the camera's white balance to tungsten and came up with this.
Didn't change much, but got a much different feel, all in a couple of minutes.

April Fools Joke?
I found out Friday from Larry Lohrman over at the Photography for Real Estate site that my photo of the home below was their photo of the month. The theme was "Dusk" and mine was lucky enough to be judged the winner by members of the site. Great way to end the week and start the month. With this being tax season and you are wondering what to do with your refund, maybe a downpayment on this home would be a good option. Asking price - $11,500,000.
Here are a couple of more photos from the shoot that I really lilke.

Please Allow Me To Introduce Myself
Welcome to my blog. Come on in and make yourself comfortable. Put your feet up, pour yourself a glass of wine and take a look around. Feel free to stay as long as you like. I'm a photographer in the Dallas - Ft. Worth metroplex and I'd like to share my work with you. I'll try and not bore you with too many words, just a few details and thoughts about my photos. Again, thanks for dropping by. Come back as often as you like (and feel free to bring some friends.)
